Volunteering Shown to Reduce Blood Pressure

We all know that we get that warm, fuzzy feeling in our heart when we volunteer, but did you know that studies have established that giving time to others can actually improve blood pressure? In another demonstration of the link between emotional and physical health, research has found that volunteering can reduce blood pressure, and not by a significant amount. The number has been placed as high as a 40% reduction in blood pressure for people who volunteer 200 or more hours each year. Read Article
